Анотація

 

Introduction. Scientific and methodological positions and practical recommendations of the well known domestic scientist,  teacher and publicman N. Y. Voloshyn is analysed as  to the problem of formation of national values  of personality. It is highlighted key ideas of  patriotism education  and national consciousness of students' youth, skilful combination of academic theory with school practice, clear decision of  teaching method problems. Attention is accented on expedience and timeliness of patriotic senses fornation in the conditions of modern society.

 

Purpose. The purpose of the article is to light up key ideas of scientific and pedagogical approaches of Nila Voloshyn as to the formation of national consciousness and patriotism of pupil’s personality.

 

Methods. Descriptive and biographic methods are used for scientific and pedagogical research.

 

Results. The genesis of the problem of young generation education is analysed in national and patriotism motion and methodological recommendations as to the formation of public values orientations of personality by means of artistic literature are given. Exactly the artistic literature the scholar considered to be one of those types of art that it is legally possible to name as a mean of the most accessible at all. In fact by means of art, love to Motherland, respect to its language, history, traditions are educated. It is marked that artistic literature acts part of healthful source which forms the national intellect of students. National intellect, formed on soil of nation consciousness and serves of people interests and state.

 

The key ideas of patriotism education and national identity of students are highlighted. Attention is focused on the appropriateness and timeliness formation of patriotism in conditions of modern society. The authors of textbooks must adhere the educational standard of knowledge and send its content and structure on formation of national consciousness of future Ukrainian citizen.

 

The study of literature at school foresees the realization of educational tasks, it is directed on claiming of aesthetical function of art, to underline a high national idea, to form national consciousness, sense of modern patriot of Ukraine, which is able deservingly to present itself and nation in world civilization.

 

Perspective at the study of biographies and creative inheritance of the greatest Ukrainian writers, fighters for a national truth there is that students will be in a position to see capable appearance of Ukrainian, and it will stimulate them to the self-education of national dignity and willingness to protect motherland.

 

It is highlighted that by means of artistic word teachers must educate strong, volitional character of pupil personality, which will be able to live and work in democratic society, which will feed high patriotic senses, and never will change national interests of the state, able to present it in society on different levels.

 

Originality. Methodological requirements to the use of national-patriotic and moral upbringing the young generation in modern condition are shown.

 

Conclusion. It is shown that the studying of biography and creative heritage of the prominent Ukrainian writer and fighter for national truth, pupils will be able to see the general image of Ukraine, and this, in turn, will stimulate them to self-education of national values and readiness to protect the motherland.
