Future engineers emphasized the professional skills of the manager, the role of professional competence, responsibility of the manager, reliability in the performance of technical work. Moral qualities of the manager, like humanity, politeness, empathy, were mentioned by 4% of respondents, but decency, honesty, conscientiousness were not mentioned. Hence, underestimation of the humanist orientation of the manager.

Almost 100% of economists were eager to realize themselves as managers, they had an entrepreneurial and social type of professional orientation. But 5% of economic students were characterized by immature forms of managerial identity, the need for dominance was more pronounced.
