The quality of higher education: general tendency of contemporaneity

Анотація

 

 

Introduction. In a new century, in the epoch of informatization and high-tech the competitiveness of countries in the world market to a great extent  depends on the level of people education, development of their creative forces, readiness and ability to be taught again, to obtain new knowledge, live and work in the constantly changeable world. It is known in general lines, that  location of country in the world is determined by the level of its education and culture.

Modern society needs highly educated and explained specialists which are able to execute the proper functions in state and private organizations, that is why the state is interested in providing of high quality of future specialists training.

Purpose. To come into the notice of research workers to the problem of quality of higher education as general tendency of contemporaneity.

Methods. Comparative and historian-search methods of the study of the problem higher education quality are used.

Results. Never before the problem of education quality in Ukraine do not have such important ideological, social, economic and technical value, as nowadays. Advancement of the problem of quality on the first plan is predefined by objective factors: on quality of human capitals and the level of the country development its global economic competitiveness; quality of education acquires an all greater value in providing of competitiveness of graduating students of higher school at the market of labor.

The problem of education quality in Ukraine became especially actual at last years. Bright expression of this tendency is the introduction of the proper positions to the normative documents, and also development of institute mechanisms which provide educational quality of higher educational establishments. The quality of education in Ukraine is examined mostly as: quality of educational environment; quality of realization of educational process; quality of the results of educational process.

With an output to the international educational programs quality of education must be examined as: degree of accordance of the real results of education the market state of affairs; index of material and technical and resource material well-being of educational process; complex index of factors of prestige and economic efficiency of education; index of perfection of maintenance, technologies and system of evaluation of achievements.

Quality of higher education is interpreted as a complex of descriptions of results of educational process in higher educational establishment, which determine the successive, effective formation of competence, professional consciousness, organizational culture, ability, to the self-education. Quality of higher education in pedagogical literature is determined as a difficult category, which combines quality of personality, quality of educational content and quality of educational technology.

          Originality. In the article authors reveal the notions of «quality of education», «quality of the higher education», define three main approaches to estimate education quality: reputation, effective; motivate need of the creation of independent agency on provision the quality of education.

Conclusion. The experience of international association activity in relation to standardization of educational informative products can be transformed in technology of standardization of all educational products. Even introduction of such approach at the level of one country does procedure of standardization clear, purposeful, free of subjectivity, provides efficiency of co-operation of research workers and practical workers, possibility of flexible adaptation of national standards to international, in particular, European.

Personality orientated measuring of education, it continuous character opens prospect for creative development of a person and society on the whole. In this context integrity and multidimensionalness of educational process, it openness is foreseen by the permanent creative search of a, it personal development and self-education, orientation of professional activity on creative development of student and pupil. Exactly this idea finds the active recreation in pedagogical creation and in the personality orientated pedagogical technologies.
