Problem technologies in foreign languages teaching of higher technical educational establishments students’
Introduction. Theoretical and methodological bases of pedagogical technologies use in foreign languages teaching of technical specialties students’ are considered in the article.
Purpose. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the problem technology potential in the formation of the most important communicative foreign language skills of non-language specialties students using Internet technologies and web-technologies.
Originality. The original author’s solution is the usage of technological approach in Internet-sources use at lessons and during students’ work outside the lessons as the way for solving problems, problem situations and tasks, and also organizing intercultural communication on authentic materials.
Results. Basing on content analysis of such concepts as “educational technology”, “learning problem”, “problem technology”, and also the way of creating problem situations while studying foreign language, the methodology for students’ activity organization with the usage of web-technologies is given. Namely such models as “Hotlіst”, “Multіmedіa Scrapbook”, “Treasure Hunt”,
“Subject Sampler”, “WebQuest” and others, oriented on solving the range of studying problems at different levels of difficulty and based on different language materials are represented.
Conclusion. The introduction and widespread use of problema technologies in foreign language teaching requires special content design and students’ activities, consideration of language level which students have and how well their informative and communicative skills are formed. It is appropriate to use and adapt advanced pedagogical experience of problem-based learning to modern conditions and the latest Internet technologies.
